Glenda Cohen

I began my career many moons ago as a writer. I have always been able to express my thoughts and opinions best through my writing, and wanting to share my passion, I eventually took the fork in the road that lead to teaching.  For the past 20 years, I have taught English as a Second Language at a large public high school and to adult immigrants in Massachusetts. It has been the privilege of my life to work with my wonderful students, who make every day a challenging adventure. As fulfilling as I find this work, I am frustrated by the outside demands that education policies and politics have placed on teachers and students. I hope that this site will be a place to share ideas, stimulate critical thinking and encourage educators to use their voices to demand the best educational services and programs for all of our children.
